Scripture: Ephesians 1:17-19

1. Read all of Ephesians 1 to get a feel for this opening hymn and prayer in Paul’s letter to Ephesus. What surprises you? What do you want more of from God?
2. Now read verses 17?19. Describe your understanding of hope. Describe your experience of being included in a faith community that feeds your soul. Describe how you have experienced the power of God to transform you.
3. Ask God to shine His light on the inner most part of your being – your soul, and listen for what God wants to heal.
4. Take a step today towards asking God to heal your soul where it is bound by darkness, sin, or past trauma.
5. Believe that God loves you so that you can love yourself and therefore others, and the world.
