I had the most wonderful group of volunteers in my room!! They did so much to help me prepare for the upcoming school year and I am so grateful for their kindness! I’ll be thinking about them throughout the year as I use the different materials they helped me prepare. Thanks to you and to all the volunteers who gave up their Saturday to help at Stevenson! It was really fun learning more about fellow Lighthousers doing something as simple (but tedious) as cutting word flashcards. But it was especially neat to learn more about what the teachers there are like and what they do with the kids. All the teachers there are so nice! It's amazing what they do, and all the time and effort they put into preparing for the school year blew me away. It reminded me of all my favorite teachers in elementary and middle school that I didn't appreciate as much when I was younger (since I didn't know any better). And I was very happy to help them and have a greater understanding of their work. Thank you for the opportunity! I had a really good time!
