Thank you for being part of something truly significant

As we draw toward the third anniversary of the Ripple Effect, I want to say thank you to all of you who have given. On May 17 the Ripple Effect campaign will officially end (though some of you have generously agreed to continue giving through December). So far, we have collected 81% of our pledges. More significantly, all three projects (our building, the Jubilee REACH Center, and the Center for Champions for street kids in Rwanda) have changed many lives already and will continue to do so.

Even before completion, our building here has been making a difference. You can read more about that in the pages that follow. The Jubilee REACH Center is now known throughout the city, and indeed the region, as a model for how churches, schools, and government can partner together to bring hope. We’ve been able to accomplish this without having to hide the fact that we are doing it in Jesus’ name. Hundreds of families have been given the help they need to move forward in life because of you. Several months ago I shared with you the deep joy I felt in Rwanda on the day that several hundred street kids were liberated from living on the streets and taken to the Center for Champions where they would be given a bed, three meals a day, and an education, none of which they had before. As I looked into their eyes and listened to their excited voices, I was so thankful to God that He allowed me to be a part of bringing so much healing, hope, and joy. I trust that those of you who have given to this campaign feel the same way.

You have been part of something that is truly significant. Many families and youth here and around the world are living better lives today than they were three years ago, and if you participated in this campaign, that is because of you. God is saying to you, “well done good and faithful servant.”
